About King County Court Docket

King County court dockets and case files are divided among the 50th District Clerk, King County Clerk, and countywide Justice of the Peace. Statewide tools add another search route, but they do not replace the office that keeps the original record. This private reference resource organizes those court roles, official links, and contact details so readers can choose the right place before searching, requesting a copy, or confirming a hearing.

Why We Built This Site

Public access in Texas still requires the correct custodian. The 50th District Clerk keeps King County district civil and felony records. The King County Clerk keeps constitutional county court and probate records, even though the same elected official is named on both county pages. The Justice of the Peace maintains its own Class C, traffic, small-claims, and other JP files. iDocket is a county-linked vendor search, while re:SearchTX is the statewide judicial document system. Neither source guarantees that every King County case or document is online. The resource brings these distinctions, official contacts, search choices, fee authorities, and access limits into one practical path.

What You Will Find Here

  • Docket guides: how King County criminal dockets and civil dockets are routed, searched, and read
  • Court dates and settings: how to use the court dates resources and confirm a setting with the correct clerk
  • Case lookups: how to conduct a case lookup by cause number or party name while accounting for online gaps
  • Record requests: how to seek court records, plain copies, or certified copies from the office holding the file

What We Cannot Do

This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Texas court, King County office, clerk, or state agency. Its role is limited:

  • We cannot pull an official docket sheet or case file for anyone
  • We cannot change, reschedule, or reset a court date or hearing setting
  • We cannot remove, seal, or amend a case on any docket
  • We cannot issue certified copies of any docket, order, or court document
  • We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific case applies to you
  • We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, address, or setting remains current

Only the clerk or court holding a King County file can issue its official or certified copy. This resource can identify that office, but it cannot supply the document.

Search Partners

Third-party providers power search boxes on some pages. They operate their own services, choose their prices, and control their result sets. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may produce a referral fee that supports free access to this resource. King County Court Docket does not set the provider's charges and cannot determine which records its search returns.
